The VVA gratefully thanks every donor for their generosity and wishes to express our regret that we are unable to accept all donations or provide pick up services in every area. Our purpose in the household donations program is to raise funds for our mission of supporting veterans.
Is DAV open for donations?
Drop-Off. Stop by our store on Monday-Saturday from 10AM to 6PM or on Sunday from 10AM to 4PM and speak to one of our helpful cashiers. If assistance is needed, they will be more than happy to help you unload your donation. If assistance is not needed, simply bring your donation to the counter.
Is the VVA picking up?
The pick up areas for VVA in Southern and Central California includes Los Angeles, Ventura, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange Counties. In Northern CA, the VVA donation pickup area includes Sacramento, Alameda, Contra Costa, Merced, Napa, San Joaquin, Sonoma, Placer, Yolo, Solano, San Mateo, and El Dorado Counties.
What items does VVA not accept?
We’re sorry but we cannot accept large furniture items. We only accept items that are small and light enough for one person to easily lift and carry. No Furniture: Couches, sofas, sleeper couches, box springs, mattresses, desks, large dressers, heavy chairs, etc. cannot be accepted.
